MISTAKE: Haugesund Christian Gytkjær scores 1-0 goal after a blunder by goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey

Two big BLUNDERS by Ghana goalkeeper Kwarasey leads to Stromsgodset defeat
Two big mistakes by Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen
Kwarasey helped Haugesund to defeat title holders
Stromsgodset 3-2 in the Norwegian top-flight on
Saturday.

Haugesund were clearly the best side on the
afternoon but their were aided by the two gifts
from the Ghana international goalkeeper, leading
to the victory for the home side.

On two occasions Stromsgodset goalkeeper Kwarasey
caught the ball and dropped it in the box. And on
both occasions times Haugesund strikers were
ruthless and scored.

“It is a wonderfully delicious victory,” said
Haugesund striker scorer Christian Gytkjaer who
opened the scoring in the highly-anticipated
match.

Christian Gytkjaer scored the first goal after 42
minutes, before Dušan Cvetinovi? doubled to make
it 2-0 after 67 minutes. Both goals were scored
after blunders by the Ghana keeper Kwarasey.

Substitute Peter Kovacs reduced the arrears after
85 minutes but Daniel Bamberg made it 3-1 to keep
the home side in full control of the game.

Kovacs had not given up and headed in his second
of the night after 91 minutes.

But Kwarasey was lucky to have escaped by picking
up the ball from his net three times as Haugesund
almost whitewashed Strømsgodset in the first half
and had three attempts come of the posts.

Maic Sema had he biggest chance in the 32nd minute
but his powerful shot hit the post while another
strike by Gytkjaer come off the crossbar

Haugesund pushed for the opening goal and
succeeded after 42 minutes. A shot from Sema
slipped out of the hands of the keeper Kwarasey
and clumsy defending gave Gytkjaer the chance to
score the opener easily.

In the 67th minute Kwarasey messed up again and
spilled the ball to the feet of opponent
Cvetinovic who made it 2-0 wrapping up a difficult
match of Ghana’s best goalkeeper. Despite these
mistakes Kwarasey remains the first-choice for his
club as he has had some excellent matches for them
this season.
