Painstil’s wife speaks out over stollen vehicle
The wife of Black Stars defender John Painstil has
broken her silence over allegations that she has
‘stolen’ one of the several vehicles in her
husband’s fleet, an Infiniti SUV estimated to
cost $45,000.

The story was that the footballer returned to the
country from his base in South Africa, where he
recently landed a contract with Santos Football
Club, to realize the vehicle in question had been
stolen from his plush Trasacco Valley home.

Later, reports said the vehicle had been found in
the possession of his wife, Richlove Painstil.

Richlove however caused her lawyer, Musah Ahmed,
to issue a statement in Accra yesterday denying
any wrongdoing, and insisting that “the vehicle
at the centre of the story is not stolen.”

Instead, the lawyer indicated that “it is with
our client and has at all material times been in
her lawful possession.

“It is therefore not true for anyone to think or
suggest that someone with a criminal mind could
easily break through the fortification to steal
our client’s vehicle.”

Meanwhile, DAILY GUIDE has picked credible
information from sources close to John Painstil
that he was not in the country on the supposed
December 25, 2013 that he was said to have arrived
and realized the vehicle in question had been
stolen.

He is said to be still up there in South Africa
where he now plies his football trade.

Apart from that, a source close to the family
hinted that John Painstil indeed bought the
vehicle in question for Richlove on one of her
birthdays and it has since been in her
possession.

It is even believed that the vehicle is registered
in her name and that it was one disgruntled member
of Painstil’s family who planted such stories
against the footballer’s wife in the media.

Lawyers for Richlove therefore noted: “There is
no iota of truth whatsoever in the said
publication and we humbly and respectfully urge
all and sundry to disregard the said publication
on the basis that it is a malicious falsehood,
recklessly made, knowing that it was false and
calculated to dent the image of our client.”
