Meter theft hampering water supply in Western Region
Takoradi, April 23, GNA - Nana Ewusi Mensah,
Western Regional Customer Care Officer of Aqua
Vitens Rand Limited, operators of Ghana Water
Company, on Saturday expressed worry that meter
theft was hampering water delivery in the Region.

He expressed worry that many water meters
belonging to the company had been stolen from
homes of consumers, affecting water supply to the
area.

Mr Mensah in an interview with GNA at Takoradi on
Friday, said that since April this year, more than
28 water meters have been stolen within the Tarkwa
Municipality .

He appealed to the public to be vigilant and
report any persons in possessions of the company's
meter to the nearest police station or the
Regional office of the company.

He also said "water meters play an important role
in the determination of water bills and consumers
should protect and avoid tampering with them."
