IGP Where Are You? For three days a broken down cargo truck remained
a dangerous obstruction under the Ako Adjei
Interchange near the Police headquarters.
Many observers wondered why the truck remained in
that position for three days without anybody,
especially from the police headquarters, taking
action, despite the danger it posed to other
motorists.
That the location where the truck was, a
stone-throw away from the police headquarters and
a route used by police officers, including the
Chief Constable as they drive to the office every
day, did not prompt a police action, is amazing.
Equally amazing was the fact that rather than have
the vehicle towed away from the spot to a garage
for repairs, mechanics worked on the vehicle at
the spot as though there was nothing wrong with
that action.
A fatal accident was perhaps obviated because of
the constant lighting on the three-lane route
under the bridge, where the traffic level is
mostly high.
A stitch in time, they say, saves nine; especially
at this time when broken down trucks have claimed
many lives at various locations in the country. Source - Daily Guide
