Kwabena Kwabena reaffirms support for Nana Addo
Sensational hi-life musician, George Kwabena Adu
popularly known in showbiz circles as Kwabena
Kwabena has noted that he will campaign for the
New Patriotic Party’s Presidential candidate,
Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo again if he is
invited to do so.

Kwabena Kwabena in an interview with The Weekend
Moment newspaper said he cherishes Nana Akufo-Addo
for the part he has played in the democratic
process in the country. “I like him (Nana Addo)
for the role he has played in the democratic
process of the country.

“In 2008 Nana Addo personally invited me to join
the campaign team and if he needs my services in
2012, why not?” he queried. Kwabena Kwabena
played a major role in the NPPs 2008 elections and
sang most of his popular songs on the campaign
platform for Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, who
lost the election by a slim margin.

According to him plans are far advanced for his
live music videos to be shot in five regions in
Ghana under the auspices of kbkb music
production.

The multiple music award winner has contributed
massively in sustaining the hi-life music industry
in the country over the last few years.

On his latest album featuring Tinny dubbed
‘bibini ba’ he said “It’s making progress
and I am amazed how the song is travelling at a
very fast rate both in Ghana and on the
international front”. Kwabena Kwabena said he is
a draughtsman by profession but his passion for
music has totally changed his line of profession.

He said he is not a happy person because of low
patronage of music which is making it very
difficult for most musicians in Ghana.
“Looking at the stress one goes through to put
up lyrics, going to the studio to put it on record
and getting it officially released with an album
launch, only for one to walk into the manager’s
office to see the whole stuff seated in the
office, which we hope will change in the near
future”. He said.

He thanked his wife Madam Abena Owusuwaa for being
there for him and said she is the “reason why I
live and nothing can separate us”. On the Ghana
music awards he said “we expect the best to
carry the day.
“Finally I will like to congratulate every
individual who have contributed a quarter to my
success and where I am now. I thank God and all my
fans”.
