Kwaw Kesse Treating Kwaw Kese like an armed robber is not right – Sonnie Badu UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu has
made a passionate plea to the authorities to
tamper justice with mercy in respect of hiplife
musician, Kwaw Kese.
Sonnie Badu is one of many key personalities in
the entertainment industry such as former hiplife
star, Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Kenya, popularly
known as Lord Kenya, who have urged authorities to
deal leniently with the rapper.
In a post on Instagram Saturday, the ‘Baba’
hit singer said the authorities should fine Kwaw
Kese instead of treating him like an armed
robber.
“I am pleading with the authorities to please
have mercy on our brother ... Please, please,
please, a heavy fine will be well understood, but
treating him like an armed robber is just not
right, please have mercy on him,” he said.
Sonnie Badu admitted that Kwaw Kese was wrong in
smoking cannabis but stressed he shouldn’t
treated like a criminal.
“Yes he was wrong, but please don't treat him
like a criminal... what is MUSIGA doing? Do we
have to go see Asantehene? It's been a bad year
for Kwaw, from his manager being murdered and all
that #HAVEMERCY,” the award winning musician
added.
Kwaw Kese, was arrested by the police in Kumasi on
Saturday, November 22, for allegedly smoking
cannabis and has been remanded into prison at the
Kumasi Central Prison.
He is due to appear in court December 22 after
three failed attempts to get bail.
