Ernest Norgbey NDC parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman NPP is attacking my personality - Ashaiman NDC candidate Ernest Norgbey, National Democratic Congress (NDC)
parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman, has called
on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the
area to campaign on issues and quit attacking
him.
He said he had read several reports against him
by the NPP, which sought to attack his political
ambition, his credibility and personality.
He told The Chronicle that it was rather sad that
when he and the NDC were focused on their target
for this year’s elections, an aide to the NPP
candidate would be struggling to smear mud at his
personality.
Ernest Norgbey said: “Since the NDC primaries
in November 2015, there have been several attempts
by my political opponents to run me down to shift
my focus from the core issues that the people of
Ashaiman are confronted with.”
But he said such unwarranted and unfounded
allegations against him would not wash.
He said his target of working hard to garner
85,000 valid votes for himself and President John
Dramani Mahama remained high on the agenda of the
NDC in the constituency, thus his unreadiness to
pay attention to the unclean politics his
opponents had been fighting hard to pull him
into.
He said his campaign hinged on leadership of care
and concern, was getting down well with the
electorate “and that is what I am focused
on.”
Working hard to live by example, he said he had
been able to make some donations of important
materials to the electorate, to address their
concerns.
He said a recent donation he made was at the
Ashaiman Polyclinic, where he was working to
ensure that an abandoned structure was converted
into a blood bank and laboratory.
He said, “The NDC and His Excellency John
Mahama are walking the talk by solving the
numerous challenges confronting my people and as
the newly elected candidate, I am also playing my
complementary role to ensure that my president and
I win the elections convincingly.”
He said the NPP should go out and work “because
that is what is more important. Denigrating me
will not win them votes.” Source - thechronicle.com.gh
