A/R: Minister hands over Buses to schools
The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC)
has handed over 29 buses and 12 double cabin
pick-ups to some selected Senior High Schools
(SHSs) in the Region.

The move forms part of President Mahama’s
resolve to invest in education in the country.

The Ashanti Regional Minister John Alexander Ackon
encouraged Heads of beneficiary schools to use the
cars judiciously and to only assign these cars to
competent and professional drivers.

He admonishes the use of the vehicles for personal
errands by school authorities.

The Headmistress of Afia Kobi SHS Madam Agnes
Dadson expressed appreciation to the Minister for
the gesture and promised to make very good use of
the vehicles.

About 2,000 dual desks, texts books, and boxes of
chalks were also distributed to the schools.

Kumasi Secondary Technical School (KSTS), Mampong
Technical College, Wesley College and others.
