Acting IGP, COP John Kudalor

I Will Be Neutral In 2016 Polls – IGP Assures
The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), COP
John Kudalor has promised to be ‘politically
neutral’ in next year’s elections
and ensure the best of policing during the
elections which has been tagged as very crucial to
the country’s democracy.

“We are going to be very professional,
politically, I am going to be very neutral to
ensure that the people of this country get the
best of security services…,” he
assured in an interview with Adomonline.com.

The former Director of Operations of the Police
was appointed acting IGP to succeed Mr. Muhammed
Alhassan whose time elapsed sometime this year.

His appointment, pro-opposition pressure group,
Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) said was a form
of ‘reward’ for supervising the
group’s brutalities during a demonstration
to demand a new voters’ register.

Convener of the group, David Asante therefore
challenged him to prove that he does not support
violence against civilians through his conduct as
acting IGP.

COP in a form of reaction to this challenge,
assured that he would be up and doing and would be
very professional in the discharge of his duties
as the acting IGP of Ghana’s police
service.

“…we won’t let you
down…we have no reason to fail this
country…and we would be very
professional…to ensure that in spite of the
turmoil in the sub-region, Ghana would still be a
beacon of peace…,” he said.

The acting IGP further tasked the civilian
population to also be ambassadors of peace as
according to him ensuring peace is a two-way
traffic.

“We are appealing to the general public to
also abide by the rules governing elections so
that Ghana can still be a beacon of hope in
Africa…,” he appealed.

COP Kudelor who recounted that he was very
athletic during his days in Aggrey Memorial Senior
High School said he was going to operate an open
door policy as IGP and welcomed the public to get
close to the service.
