Yvonne Chaka Chaka

Yvonne Chaka Chaka to celebrate Kojo Antwi
South African singing super star, Yvonne Chaka
Chaka has confirmed her appearance at the upcoming
LEGENDS AND LEGACY BALL 2014, scheduled for the
Accra International Conference Centre on November
1.

The beautiful songstress has expressed excitement,
to be part of the celebration of an Africa music
icon as huge as the Maestro, Kojo Antwi, and how
important it is to her as a fellow African
musician.

Yvonne will grace the stage with her awesomeness
as the African music queen that she is and perform
some of her all-time hits including “Thank You
Mr. DJ”, “Am Burning up” and the
ever-popular "Umqombothi" among others, for her
Ghanaian fans.

Ms. Chaka Chaka cannot mount the LAL BALL stage
without being part of the tradition of show, which
is the main aim of the event, where other known
musicians are supposed to perform songs of the
honoree of the night while he (Kojo Antwi) sits
and enjoys their performances.

The International music star has agreed to perform
one of Kojo Antwi’s classic songs and even
though she has not disclosed the particular song
she would be singing, she has assured Ghanaians
that she has already begun rehearsals and she is
also carefully learning the correct pronunciation
of some of the Twi words in the song.

Freddy Mayway did it for Hi-Life living Legend
Abrantie Amakyi Dede in grand style in 2012 and
its time for yet another African music prodigy to
help celebrate Mister Music Man Kojo Antwi.

It all begun in 2011 when the ladies’ man and
legend DL (Daddy Lumba) was honored in grand
style, in 2012, “Seeeeerious” man Amakye Dede
was celebrated like never before. In 2013, AB
Crenstil was filled with uncontrollable emotions
and brought to tears as he watched his entire
musical life played back to him.

Now in 2014, Ghana will experience another
evolution. Come Saturday, 1st of November 2014,
all roads will lead to the Accra International
Conference Center to celebrate another of our own,
the maestro- Kojo Antwi- a true music legend of
our time.

The night of glitz and glamour will feature
tribute performances from Kwabena Kwabena, Edem,
Wutah Afriyie, Kweisey Pee and Akwaboah and
amazing performances from Efya, Kaaki, Noela , Mz
Vee and from the gospel giant Nacy.
