Edward Effah with Kate Quartey Papafio

Edward Effah is CIMG’s Marketing Man
Edward Effah, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank,
was adjudged 2013 Marketing Man of the Year at the
25th Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana
Marketing Performance Awards held last Saturday at
the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra.

Mr. Effah won the most coveted award on the night,
which was previously won by Vice Chancellor of the
University of Professional Studies, Professor
Joshua Alabi.

Kate Quartey Papafio, Chief Executive Officer of
Reroy Cables was also adjudged the 2013 CIMG
Marketing Woman of the Year at the impressive and
colourful ceremony.

Mr. Effah, who spoke on behalf of all the
awardees, commended the Awards Planning Committee
for honouring them. “It is a great honor to be
recognized. The award will spur us on to work
harder to move mother Ghana forward,” he said.

Mr. Effah urged the youth and enterpreneurs not to
be afraid of taking new initiatives, adding that
“new initiatives come with new challenges but
that is how we can achieve success.”

Naa Professor John Nabila, President, National
House of Chiefs, who was a guest speaker at the
event, commended the intiators of the scheme and
the various groups and individuals, who have held
the mantle to make the awards enviable and
resounding.

He said the CIMG Marketing Performance Awards
provides the institute and all stakeholders the
opportunity for retrospection.

Naa Nabila urged CIMG to continue exploring better
ways of organizing
the awards so as to remain relevant.

“Marketing has a big role to play in our
national life and the awards scheme
should serve appriopriately to make it happen,”
he said
