Kwarasey to leave Stromsgodset on Sunday, offers pour in for Ghana goalkeeper
Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey will play his last
match for Strømsgodset on Sunday after opting not
to extend his expiring contract with the Norwegian
giants, ending his seven-year stint with the club,
GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 26-year-old, who is the captain of the title
holders, decided on Friday not to extend his
contract as the season in Norway comes to an end.

With offers flowing in from Norwegian, Danish
clubs and other European clubs, the Ghana top
shot stopper will leave the club to pursue
opportunities elsewhere.

The match against Molde which is the last of the
season will be his last for the club led captained
to the league title last season.

The goalkeeper, who plays for Ghana at the 2014
World Cup in Brazil has confirmed that Sunday’s
match against Molde will be his last for
Strømsgodset who are unable to meet his contract
extension terms.

“It will be my last. Yes indeed,” Kwarasey
said.

Kwarasey joined Stromsgodset from rivals
Vålerenga in 2007 as a youngster and has been the
club’s first choice since 2010.

Kwarasey says he will join a new club soon as this
will strengthen his bid to be the permanent Ghana
first choice goalkeeper.

He helped Strømsgodset to the league title last
year and are currently in fourth place in the
Norwegian premier league this season.

Molde have already been declared champions for
this season
