Preview: Kotoko face AshantiGold, Hearts take on Amidaus
Contrasting fortunes for the chase for top-four
places in midweek opens up the race in the First
Capital Plus Premier League which enters
match-day-20 this weekend.

Five matches are on the fixture list as Asante
Kotoko attempt to bounce back following their
derby blues.

One game will come off on Saturday, as bottom side
Inter Allies, who boosted their survival hopes
after picking a point off AshantiGold at the Len
Clay will be determined to get a win against an
impressive Liberty Professionals side at the Tema
Stadium.

Then on Sunday, four games will be played as the
leaders, Kotoko take on rivals AshantiGold in the
top-liner at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko, who have a 12-point lead at the top will
be in for another cracker against AshantiGold, who
are chasing a first win in their last six
matches.

With their last victory in the league coming in
December of last year, the Miners will be
determined to end their poor run which has seen
them slip behind the leaders by 15 points and are
on the cusp of dropping out of the top-four.

Heart of Lions returned to winning ways on
Wednesday to boost their push for second place but
a trip to the Essipon Stadium could prove tough
for their ambitions at this stage of the season as
they face Hasaacas, who suffered defeat away.

New Edubiase will be at home at the Gyamfi Park to
giant-killers, King Faisal, who stopped Kotoko in
their tracks.

Second-placed Hearts of Oak with a game in hand
take on Amidaus Professionals at the Accra
Stadium.

The Phobians have been inconsistent as they sit 12
points behind the top.
