Prof. Karikari appointed Graphic Com. Chairperson
The founder of the Media Foundation for West
Africa (MFWA), Professor Kwame Karikari has been
appointed Chairperson of the Graphic
Communications Group.

Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng has also been appointed
as Chairperson of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation
(GBC).

Very Rev. Ama Afo-Blay is to chair New Times
Corporation whereas Prof. Olivia Kwapong  Chairs
Ghana News Agency (GNA).

This was in in accordance with Article 168 of the
1992 Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the
National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449).

The National Media Commission (NMC) in
consultation with the President Nana Addo Dankwa
Akufo-Addo appointed these persons and others as
Chairpersons and members of governing boards of
public corporations to manage State-owned media
houses.

A statement issued by the NMC said the swearing-in
of the boards will start next week.

Graphic Communications Group Limited will fall
on  October 30, 2017, New Times Corporation –
October 31, 2017, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation
– November 1, 2017 and Ghana News Agency –
November 2, 2017.

In accordance with Article 168 of the 1992
Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National
Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449), the National
Media Commission has, in consultation with His
