I wish Presidential candidates are killed instead of Ghana burning – JOY
Independent Presidential Candidate, Jacob Osei
Yeboah has said it will be better for all the
Presidential Candidates to be slain in the event
of turmoils instead of the ordinary Ghanaian to
perish.

“It is my prayer that the extent to which
we’ve allowed partisan politics to polarize us,
up to the extent that we want to destroy
ourselves. I would rather wish for the seven of us
to be killed and the nation should have peace
rather than the nation should be destroyed,” Mr.
Jacob Osei Yeboah said while making a declaration
to commit to peace during, and after the December
7 polls.

He said he prefers to govern a peaceful nation
rather than a polarized system, calling on all the
other candidates to quell the apprehension ahead
of the general polls.

The Electoral Commission(EC) Thursday met all the
seven presidential candidates to sign a
declaration to recommit themselves to peace ahead
of Wednesday’s general polls.

The meeting was held at the Moevenpick Ambassador
Hotel in Accra under the auspices of the National
Peace Council.

The meeting, according to the EC was also aimed at
giving the candidates the opportunity to directly
seek clarification from the Chair of the EC, Mrs
Charlotte Osei,on any aspect of the electoral
process ahead of the polls on Wednesday.
