Istanbul FC player Henry A. Salifu charged on two counts of misconduct
Henry .A. Salifu, a player of Istanbul FC has been
charged on two counts in relation to their MTN FA
Cup Round of 16 match against Aduana Stars.

The player is charged on a first count for failing
to control himself after he had been shown a red
card and that instead of leaving the field of
play, he rather he stamped on the head of Derick
Sasraku (a player of Aduana Stars FC) who was then
on the ground in violation of the stipulations of
the GFA Regulations.

He has also been charged for failing to control
himself after he had been shown a red card and
that instead of leaving the field of play, he
rather approached match referee and assaulted the
referee Patrick Kyeremateng in violation of the
stipulations of the GFA Regulations.

Salifu has therefore been charged with misconduct
and violence or a breach of Articles 35(7)(d) and
39(7) of the GFA General Regulations on both
counts in respect of this match.

He is therefore to submit a written Statement of
Defence to the charge(s) on or before Thursday,
June 4, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA
Secretariat or through email address to the
Disciplinary Committee, dc@ghanafa.org failing
which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to
adjudicate the case without his Statement of
Defence.

Should he choose Defence Options 3 (Personal
Hearing) in the Statement of Defence, the
Disciplinary Committee shall through his email or
the GFA website inform him on when to attend its
hearing at the GFA Secretariat to answer to the
charge(s), failure which the Disciplinary
Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case in
his absence.
