Suame Artisans Storm NPP Office
Interesting scenes emerged at the NPP regional
office at Krofrom in Kumasi when artisans from the
famous Suame-Magazine industrial area invaded the
place Wednesday afternoon.

The artisans were at the regional party office to
throw their weight behind Kwadwo Boateng Genfi,
one of the contenders in the Suame New Patriotic
Party (NPP) parliamentary race, who was visiting
the office to submit his nomination form.

The artisans, who have declared their unflinching
support for Boateng Genfi, left their work and
followed the aspirant to Krofrom, amid drumming
and dancing.

Boateng Genfi, whose popularity in Suame keeps
rising daily, was mobbed by enthusiastic-looking
party supporters when he finally reached the
regional party office to submit his form.

Addressing the gathering, he said his prime
ambition was to bring an end to the apathy which
had set in at Suame by campaigning vigorously to
ensure that more people vote for Nana Akufo-Addo
in 2016.

Mr Genfi, who is well connected locally and
internationally, stated that he would use his
links to get resources to ensure that the NPP’s
campaign machinery at Suame was always in motion.

He said the 600,000 votes the NDC amassed in the
Ashanti Region in 2012 was an unacceptable feat,
stressing that the party needs energetic,
visionary and resourceful people like him and
Wontumi to lead the NPP to victory in 2016.

Sounding confident, he predicted that he would win
the NPP polls with a wider margin, promising to go
all out to ensure that the NPP maximised its votes
at Suame in the 2016 elections.

Mr Genfi submitted his form to Bernard Antwi
Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, after
which he returned to Suame in the company of the
NPP delegates and the artisans.
