WOYOME: I’LL REFUND Ȼ51.2M TO STATE BY END
OF YEAR
The lead council for Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, the
businessman who was recently acquitted and
discharged on two counts of defrauding by false
pretence and causing financial loss to the state,
yesterday assured the Supreme Court that his
client had agreed to refund the Ȼ51.2 million
he wrongfully procured from the State by the end
of the year.

There is growing anger among some property owners
at Tseado in the La Dadekotopon municipality in

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney
General, Dr Dominic Ayine, has indicated the
government’s resolve to reclaim €25 million
awfully paid to Waterville Holdings despite a suit
by the construction firm at the International
Court of Arbitration to block the process.

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic
Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has
congratulated the presidential candidate of the

The National Council, the 2nd highest decision
making body of the New Patriotic Party will at 10
am today meet to review some controversial

regarding the impending the parliamentary
primaries that have sparked internal party
outrage.

The Education Ministry has planned to spend almost
its entire budget for this year on staff
remunerations, joining a long list of state
institutions with minimal resources to undertake
critical capital projects.

COMMON ECOWAS TARIFF SET FOR JULY 2
The country is expected to start implementing the
Common External Tariffs (CET) regime by July 2,
2015, following approval by Cabinet and imminent
passage of the bill by Parliament.
