Jilted lover kills ex-girl friend, 4 kids with poisoned gari
Thirty four year-old Mawutor Hovor, is in police
grips after confessing to killing his
ex-girlfriend and four other children with a
rodenticide he stealthily deposited in their
food.

Police say Mr Hovor hid in his ex-lover's house at
Jaway Anlo, a fishing community near Half Assini
in the Jomoro District of the Western Region, and
succeeded in poisoning a bowl of gari meant for
the consumption of the five persons.

26-year-old Noviegbo Kugblenu, and her four kids
on Wednesday unknowingly ate the gari mixed with
the rat poison killing them instantly.

Their bodies have since been deposited at the Half
Assini morgue.
Jomoro District Police Commander, John Ferguson
Dzineku, told myjoyonline.com Mawutor Hovor, was
picked up as a suspect during investigation and he
confessed to the crime during interrogation.

He said Hovor confessed putting the rodenticide in
the gari out of anger for being jilted by Noviegbo
Kugblenu.

It is unclear whether the death of the four kids
was accidental or part of Mr Hovor's scheme.

Police say he will be processed for court on
Thursday 19 Feb.
