Wadie: Cocaine lady close ally of Randy and Mahamas…But MetroTV host counters he’s “a no brainer” Former New Patriotic Party Constituency Chairman
for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Michael Omari Wadie has
strongly asserted that Host of Metro TVs
GoodMorning Ghana Programme and the First Family,
are close friends to Ruby Adu Gyamfi aka Nayeli
Ametefe, the lady busted at Heathrow a week ago
for attempting to traffic 12.5kilograms of
Cocaine.
Michael Omari Wadie made this disclosure on
OkayFM’s Morning Show, Ade Akye Abia, on
Wednesday Morning.
Speaking to the Host of the Programme, Kwame
Nkrumah Tikesie, Chairman Wadie disclosed that as
former Constituency Chairman of Ayawaso West
Wuogon, which includes Dzorwulu, where the Cocaine
lady grew up and stays, he knows quite a bit about
her.
He stated on authority that Randy Abbey, believed
to be a known associate of the First Family, is a
good friend to Ruby Adu-Gyamfi and also stated
that the lady is also very close to the Mahamas
and even boasts in some circles as being Mrs.
Mahama.
Omari Wadie dared the one-time Spokesperson for
the Ghana Football Association (GFA), to publicly
deny the lady if indeed they do not know her.
The former National Vice Chair aspirant of the NPP
indicated that he can pardon government officials
like Minister of Communications, Dr Omane Boamah,
if they say the First family does not know Ruby
Adu-Gyamfi because persons like him (Omane Boamah)
are not as close to the Mahamas like Randy Abbey
and repeated rather emphatically that Randy Abbey
and the Mahamas are close associates of the
arrested lady.
Omari Wadie also alleged that Ruby Adu Gyamfi had
about six passports including one with the name,
Ruby Mahama, a German passport and others and had
also undergone various plastic surgeries to hide
her identity after she was almost arrested a few
years ago for reported drug trafficking of
narcotics through Kotoka.
But in a rather sharp riposte, a clearly riled
Randy Abbey said there is nothing of substantial
relevance in Wadie’s claim and only accepted to
respond to his baseless allegations because of the
respect he has for OkayFM.
He dismissed suggestions that he is the
spokesperson for the First Family saying “I
don’t hold any official position.” in the
Mahama-led administration.
“What is the issue? I think sometimes we need
not give credence to certain issues…we
shouldn’t do that,” he added.
To him, a little bit of sifting of what is
relevant and application of professionalism should
come into play when “a no brainer” attempt to
make himself popular.
“If issues have come, let’s deal with them and
apply ethics of professionalism. I don’t think
even our media stations should give prominence to
some of these things; I mean what is the relevance
of this? How can you start something on a
foundation that is even baseless? So if we
encourage anything that just anybody says and then
what happens? It is just out of place……massa,
this is radio and I might perhaps end up using
certain (uncouth) language…why is that we attach
importance to just about anything and
anybody…this is definitely a no brainer,” he
fumed.
When his attention was drawn to the fact that his
accuser was a former Constituency Chairman of the
opposition party who even aspired to be a National
Vice-Chair, Randy Abbey simply countered;
“massa, massa, massa sometimes it is not about
the titles people hold. Let’s try and appreciate
what is in their brains.” Source - Peacefmonline
