Kwabena Duffuor to be awarded at 13th Banking awards Former Finance Minister, Kwabena Duffuor has been
selected among a host of other distinguished
Ghanaians who will be awarded at this year’s
banking awards which comes off tomorrow, Saturday,
November 1.
According to organisers of the awards, the former
Central Bank Governor is being recognised for his
role in the development of the banking sector in
the country.
Other prominent persons including, the Managing
Directors of the TTB and ECOBANK Ghana will be
recognised at the ceremony.
Twenty-six universal banks will compete for the
most prestigious title of “Bank of the Year”,
at the 13th edition of the awards.
Winners are selected through the financial
statement published by the banks.
A statement issued by the organisers, Friday, said
“The approach and methodology for assessing
banks for the various categories has been reviewed
over the years to make them more robust and
reflect the changing dynamics of the financial
services sector.”
