Man Killed For Flirting With Married Woman
A 32-year-old labourer has been lynched by some
unidentified persons at Zenu in the
Kpone-Katamanso District of the Greater Accra
region over his amorous relationship with a
married woman.

The deceased, Michael Kofi Kangah, an Nzema from
the Western Region, was lynched after he visited
the house of the said woman.

Kangah, before his death, told some residents that
the people attacked him after he escorted his
girlfriend, a married woman who had spent the
night in his kiosk.

According to reports, he was attacked by the men
while returning to his kiosk.

He was assaulted near his kiosk where he sleeps at
Zenu Zone 2, near Ashaiman and left to his faith.

According to reports, the husband of the said
woman detected some suspicious text messages and
organised some hoodlums to attack Kangah.

Before the deceased died, he asked the people to
lead the police to arrest the assailants but was
unable to give details about the said married
woman.

The lifeless body of the deceased was conveyed by
personnel of the Lebanon Police to the police
hospital mortuary in Accra for autopsy.

DAILY GUIDE observed deep cuts on his body as well
as blood stains in the kiosk.

An eyewitness, Fred Asante alias Osofo told DAILY
GUIDE that he heard unusual noise in the area at
about 3:30 am.

He added that when he came out, he saw some
hoodlums with sticks, cutlasses and others
subjecting the deceased to severe beatings.

'I confronted the people and pleaded with them to
send him to the police station but they refused
and continued to beat him for chasing the wife of
their boss. There were some who claimed he had
stolen aluminum cooking pot and salt but we don't
know him to be a thief.

'I spoke with Kofi after the people had left him
and he told me that he went to escort his
girlfriend but later the woman called him on phone
and upon reaching the house an alarm was raised,'
the eye-witness noted.

He explained further that the house of the
girlfriend is situated at the Zenu Dam site.

Togbui Atsadza II, Sub-chief of Tayevie in Ho, the
Volta Region, landlord of the deceased, said
Kangah rented the kiosk from his wife and stayed
there for close to a month before the incident
occurred.

According to him, 'I came out of my room after
hearing the shouts only see Kofi been beaten by
the squad. I asked them to stop but they pushed me
away and continued to beat him until he became
weak.'
