China Goes For Nana
The New Patriotic Party's international branch in
China, NPP China, conducted special polls to
sample the views of members concerning the
upcoming Super Delegates Conference.

The voting which started on August 20 and ended on
August 26 across all the chapters of the branch
was meant to sample the opinion of majority of the
members so as to inform the delegates who would be
voting on behalf of the branch at the Super
Delegates Conference on August 31, 2014.

Apart from the Shenyang and Xiamen Chapters of the
party, all other chapters voted 100 percent for
Nana Akufo-Addo. Results for the Shenyang Chapter
saw Nana Akufo-Addo obtaining 66.7 percent of
total votes cast while Alan Kyerematen obtained
33.3 percent. The other contestants obtained no
votes. At the Xiamen Chapter, Nana Addo obtained
89.5 percent; Alan Kyeremanten obtained 5.3
percent while Joe Ghartey had 5.3 percent. The
others obtained no votes.

Overall, party members of NPP China branch voted
overwhelmingly for Nana Addo as their preferred
candidate for the flag bearer position with an
approval rating of 85.4 percent of all votes
cast.

This reaffirms the party's position of offering
its total support to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
due to his excellent leadership qualities and his
incorruptible personality.

Accordingly, the three super delegates who would
be voting on behalf of NPP China, Dr Charles
Dwamena, the Branch Chairman; Mrs Owusu Achiaw,
Branch Women Organiser and Mr Owusu Achiaw, member
of Council of Elders, have been tasked by the
branch to vote for no other candidate than Nana
Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the sixth candidate on the
ballot paper.
