Ben Ephson - Pollster

Ken Agyapong is unable to insult me because I saved his life – Ephson
Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper,
Ben Ephson, has revealed that maverick politician
and Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy
Agyepong is unable to insult him because he saved
his life.

Mr Agyapong is known to be most of the time
acerbic in his public conversation but speaking on
Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM Monday, Mr Ephson stated
that the vociferous legislator after getting to
know that he (Ephson) had saved his life, he has
never spoken ill of him.

“You see why Ken Agyapong in the run-up to the
2016 election always found it very difficult to
insult me. When ever he tried to insult me, he
pulled the brakes but people didn’t understand
why. This is the reason, until he spoke about it
openly, I wouldn’t have ever spoken about this
in public. I did it for the work of God. When the
issue happened I never informed Ken about what
I’d heard. If I’d told him he would have made
a lot of noise about it and the plan would have
been aborted. Again I had done my christian duty
of informing the relevant authorities about the
planned attack on Ken and I needn’t inform him
of such event. If the informant had not mentioned
my name in court nobody would have known that I
led the informant to tell then IGP about the evil
plot.”

The MP disclosed on radio last week how the
veteran Journalist stopped some criminals from
killing him some years ago.

Mr Agyapong recounted that an informant revealed
the plot of the thugs to murder him to Ben Ephson.
The informant had wanted Mr Ephson to publish it
as a story but instead, the latter reported the
evil plan to the then Inspector General of Police
(IGP), Mohammed Alhassan, who provided security
for Mr. Agyapong.

Mr Ephson who confirmed the claims of Mr Agyepong
further stated that the miscreants eventually
tried to carry out the devious plan but were
busted by the police.
