14-year girl defiled by 5 men; suffers life-threatening complications
A 14-year-old girl is battling life-threatening
complications after five men defiled and attempted
killing her at the Nkawkaw New Lorry Station.

The five men strangled the 14-year-old school
drop-out after defiling her in turns. They
intended to snuff the life out of her and when she
became unconscious they dumped her in a stream
believing her to be dead.

Miraculously, she survived but now walks with
difficulty and has since been bleeding.

The Nkawkaw Divisional Police have arrested two
suspects who have confessed to the crime but are
pleading for leniency.

A 25-year-old Cobbler and ex-convict Yaw Preko and
a driver’s mate, Mohammed Adamu, are in police
custody in connection with the case.

Te Police have also launched a manhunt for the
three other accomplices identified as Junior,
Awudu and Sarfo.

Nkawkaw Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent
James Sarfo Peprah told Nhyira News the victim was
bundled to an Indian Hemp smoking area and defiled
by the men in turns.

She was on one of her ice-water selling trips when
one of the suspects carried her at the back whilst
another covered her mouth with the hand and pulled
her into a bush.

Both Adamu and Preko have been speaking to Nhyira
News few days after an Nkawkaw Magistrate's Court
remanded them into police custody. They are facing
defilement, conspiracy to commit crime and
attempted murder charges.

One of the suspects, Adamu Mohammed narrated how
they planned and attempted to kill the victim and
dump her body in the Trado stream.

The victim was however saved by a Good Samaritan.

Doctors at the Holy Family Hospital treated and
