NDC Former National Organizer, Yaw Boateng Gyan

I will reject any appointment in Akufo-Addo government – Boateng Gyan
Former National Organizer of the opposition
National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said he
will reject any offer to serve in President Nana
Akufo-Addo’s government.

Yaw Boateng Gyan explained that, his political
ideology as a centre-left is different from the
ruling centre-right Patriotic Party (NPP) that
believes in capitalism thus cannot serve in
government.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme
Tuesday, February 14, 2017, while commenting on
whether he will accept any political appointment
in the in-coming should an offer comes is brought
before him.

He maintained that, the NPP has lots of capable
hands to help the President-elect, Akufo-Addo, to
prosecute his agenda, noting that it will be very
difficult as a social democrat to join the
elephant family in managing the Ghanaian economy.

“I will reject any appointment to serve in
government because of my ideological background.
My party NDC comes first” he stressed.

Yaw Boateng Gyan said he prefers to wait patiently
in opposition for his party to come back to power.
