We are not destroying EC’s image-NPP
The Ashanti Regional Office of the opposition New
Patriotic Party (NPP) has rubbished claims that
it’s on a mission to discredit the Electoral
Commission (EC) ahead of November Elections.

The Regional Office is leading a coalition of
opposition groups on a demonstration dubbed “Baa
Mu Yada’ meaning ‘we don’t agree’.

The mass action scheduled for April 6, 2016 in
Kumasi is to protest allegations that the EC is
deliberately deleting names of electorates from
the voters’ register in the Ashanti Region.

The demonstration is also to pile pressure on the
EC to conduct a verification exercise of the
voters’ register.

This has however come in the light of the EC to
redeem its battered image ahead of the November
elections.

Speaking to Ultimate news the Regional Youth
Organiser of the party, Justine Koduah explained
that the demonstrations are not to tarnish the
image of the EC.

He contended that the protest is to set issues
right.
