NPP Finally Approves Candidacy Of Some Disqualified Parliamentary Aspirants
As at April 23 2015, the National Executive
Committee of the New Patriotic Party had approved
a road map towards the organization of the
party’s Parliamentary Primary Elections as
mandated by the party’s constitution.

Due to internal challenges that were met, things
did not go as planned; for this reason, the
Steering Committee under a Certificate of Urgency
has come out with some decisions on behalf of the
National Executive Committee.

Some of the decisions include approving the
candidacy of certain parliamentary aspirants who
were initially disqualified and upholding request
from certain Regions to put on hold their
Primaries.

Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, General Secretary for the
NPP...

The Steering Committee of the New Patriotic Party,
at its meeting held on 19th May 2015, made some
decisions on behalf of the National Executive
Committee, under a Certificate of Urgency.

The meeting decided that some Aspirants who have
been vetted are to be given up to the publication
of the Notice of Poll to make arrangements to
complete the payment of their Filing/ Development
Fees. Notification is being sent to them.


The Steering Committee overturned the
disqualifications of the following Aspirants and
cleared them to contest:

Isaac Owireko Amofa -Dome-Kwabenya

Adwoa Amoako -Tema West

Carlos Ahinkorah -Tema West

Agyeman Prempeh -Tema Central

Carl Dey -Ayawaso
Central

Vicky Bright -Okai Koi
South


The disqualification of the underlisted aspirants
were upheld

Mr. Cann -New
Edubiase

Joseph Mensah -Kwesimintsim


The meeting also upheld the request from the
respective Regions to put on hold the Primaries
for the following Constituencies:

Bia East, Bia West, Juaboso and Akontombra
-Western Region

Nadowli-Kaleo
-Upper West

Nkwanta South
- Volta



The following cases were referred to the National
Appeals Committee:

Nii Noi Nortey -Korley Klottey

Adjetey -Obom-Domeabra

Alex Blankson - Akrofuom
