Afoko, Agyepong not the right people to lead NPP – Amoako Baah
Head of the Political Science Department at the
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
(KNUST) is incensed about the continuous stay in
office by the National Chairman of the opposition
New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko and General
Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.

According to Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, all odds is
against these two individuals following the death
of the Upper East regional Chairman, Adams Mahama,
thus it will be in their interest to step aside.

Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong have come under
pressure to step down following the death of Adams
Mahama after a ghastly acid attack.

Although police are still conducting
investigations into the matter, three regions
namely, Central, Eastern and the Volta region have
unanimously voted for them [Afoko, Agyepong] to
relinquish their post.

Commenting on the recent development on Adom News
Monday, Dr. Amoako Baah expressed shock at their
recalcitrant posture.

“The die is cast so why are they still at post?
These unanimous votes against them should tell
them they are not wanted in the party,” he
added.

The Head of the Political Science Department at
KNUST stated emphatically that Mr. Afoko and
Agyepong “are not the right people to lead the
NPP”.

Dr. Amoako Baah urged the two NPP bigwigs to put
the interest of the party first, step aside until
after they have been exonerated from all
allegations.

“There is nothing they can do about it; the more
they hang on, the worse the situation becomes”
he stressed.

Meanwhile flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo
Dankwa Akufo-Addo has denied allegations that he
is behind moves to oust the General Secretary and
Chairman.
