Nana Konadu denies using Police escort
The office of former President Rawlings has denied
reports that the former First Lady, Nana Konadu
Agyeman-Rawlings, uses a police escort in her day
to day activities.

A statement by the office stated that “the
attention of the Office of H.E. Jerry John
Rawlings has been drawn to reports and commentary
in some circles that former First Lady, Nana
Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings enjoys the luxury of
police outriders and regularly travels from
Adjiringano to the central business district under
police escort.”

The statement issued Monday clarified that "Mrs.
Rawlings drives to the central business district
daily without escort".

The statement, however, added “We are reliably
informed it is rather one [neighbour] who enjoys
the luxury of police escort to and from the
Adjiringano/Trasacco area and not Mrs. Rawlings as
has been erroneously portrayed.”
