Hawa Koomson Targets 75% The incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of
Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East in the
Central Region, Mavis Hawa Koomson, on Monday
presented her nomination forms to the party office
at Kasoa and promised to increase the votes of the
party significantly when voted as the
parliamentary candidate.
She was accompanied to the party office by
enthusiastic supporters and greater number of
delegates to the constituency office where she was
received by the constituency chairman, Alhaji
Ibrahim Sadat, the constituency secretary, Michael
Mensah and the constituency treasurer, Aikins
Mensah.
She promised to continue to work hard with all
polling station executive members to increase the
vote margin of 4,000 to about 15,000.
“We have a lot of work to do as far as 2016
general elections are concerned and our common
enemy should be the ruling National Democratic
Congress (NDC) so we should not let this internal
contest create any sort of acrimony between us,”
she said.
According to her, since coming to parliament in
2013, she has worked so hard to bring a lot of
development to the constituency.
“I have spoken about the perennial flooding at
Kasoa during raining seasons, the acute water
shortage at Kasoa and lack of certain
infrastructure at Kasoa in parliament and I
believe so strongly that the government has taken
notice and would soon tackle those problems facing
my constituents,” Madam Koomson said. Source - Daily Guide
