Bawumia To Rock New York
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the Guest of Honor at
the first annual fundraising event of the friends
of Nana Akufo-Addo (FONAA) institute-USA scheduled
to take place at the Ghanata hall, 2180 Webster
ave, Bronx, New York, on saturday, april 4, 2015.

The accomplished economist extraordinaire aka Dr.
Pink Sheet, will deliver the keynote address on
the theme “One Ghana, Moving forward.”

The event will feature the Chairman of the New
Patriotic Party (NPP)-USA, Nana Agyei Yeboah and
Dr Akwasi Achampong, Chairman of the New York
Chapter of the party.

The fundraising event will attract members of the
Ghanaian community in the United States, community
elders and chiefs.

Apart from seeking to cast its membership net
wider, FONAA Institute-USA hopes to marshal the
needed resources to fund its activities amongst
which are, educating and empowering the youth,
instilling a sense of self-awareness of their
democratic and political rights and ensuring
responsibilities and adherence to the rule of
law.

The Coordinator of FONAA Institute-USA, Ms. Aisha
Salifu, revealed that the Institute would remain
an ideological think-tank that would serve as a
platform for nurturing the ideals and the values
of democratic governance.

Major highlights of the event are that Dr. Bawumia
will observe the Jumah Prayer with the Ghanaian
Muslim Community in New York on Friday, 3 April;
the major grand fundraising event on 4 April and
worship at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, New
York, on 5 April.
