Databank, GTBank successfully launch partner locations
Databank, Ghana’s premier investment bank, has
announce the successful launch of six partner
locations within selected GTBank branches.

The move was made possible due to the “unique
partnership agreement” between the two
institutions – Databank and GTBank – aimed at
giving Ghanaians an enhanced investment and
commercial banking experience.

The partnership was officially launched at a
ceremony at the East Legon branch of GTBank on
17th February, 2015.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kojo Addae-Mensah,
Group Chief Executive Officer of Databank,
mentioned that Databank’s continuous efforts at
developing investment products – aimed at
helping Ghanaians achieve financial independence
– have been somewhat limited by having only four
branches in Accra, Tema, Takoradi and Kumasi.

“Through our partnership with GTBank, Databank
will be moving closer to its clients. We are
starting with 6 partner locations at the following
GTBank branches: Airport, East Legon, Osu,
Ashaiman, Cape Coast & Tamale. And over the next
two to three years, you can expect to find us in
most, if not all, of GTBank’s branches
nationwide,” he added.

Following the launch event, Databank has
officially started operations at the East Legon,
Airport and Osu GTBank branches. The remaining
three partner locations will be rolled out as
follows:

•Ashaiman – Wednesday, 18th February, 2015

•Cape Coast – Wednesday, 25th February, 2015

•Tamale – Friday, 27th February, 2015

At Databank’s partner locations, clients can
open a Databank mutual fund investment account,
check their account balances, redeem all or part
of their investments and sign up for Value Added
Services such as Databank Notification Alert
(DNA), Direct Debit and ATM cards. Databank’s
five (5) mutual funds are Databank Epack
Investment Fund (Epack),

Databank Money Market Fund (MFund), Databank
Balanced Fund (BFund), Databank Ark Fund (ArkFund)
and Databank Educational Investment Fund
(EdIFund).

Also at the event, Mrs. Gillian Hammah,
Databank’s Group Chief Marketing Officer, stated
that Databank is committed to reaching clients in
every region. She believes clients shouldn’t
have to drive long hours just to open an
investment account.

With these new partner locations, Databank is now
taking concrete steps to move closer to its
clients. She added that, through this partnership
with GT Bank, clients can look forward to shorter
wait times, more places to open a Databank
investment account and the opportunity to bank and
invest at the same time. And for clients who
already have a Databank investment account, they
can now top up their mutual fund accounts at any
GTBank branch nationwide.

At the launch event were members of Databank and
GTBank’s leadership team, including the Managing
Director of GTBank, Mr. Lekan Sanusi, as well some
other top officials of both banks.
