It's unfortunate using State resources to battle KKD instead of retrieving judgement debts
Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West
Constituency, Hon. Ben Ayeh has bemoaned the zeal
and irate nature of the Attorney-General to battle
ace Broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) over the
alleged rape of a 19-year-old lady.

Despite the letter written to the police and other
relevant bodies by the 19-year-old alleged rape
victim, Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson declaring her
disinterest in pursuing the case, the state has
indicated its resolve to go ahead with the
prosecution for the offence.

Subsequently, the state has formally charged KKD
with rape, Peacefmonline.com can confirm.

But according to the Upper Denkyira West MP, it is
unfortunate that the Attorney-General is
determined to go every length in this case and
nail the renowned fashionista as there are more
major tasks which are easy for the A-G to
accomplish in no time.

He wondered why the same energy and zeal has not
been channeled to retrieving all monies which were
dubiously paid to some individuals and companies
in the name of judgment debt payment.

He again wondered if the money the Supreme Court
has ruled that the state should go for from Woyome
and Waterville, Isofoton, SUBA and other companies
mean nothing to the Attorney-General as no effort
has been made towards retrieving those monies for
the state.

“I’m surprised the Attorney-General is not
using their energy and resources to deal with
major issues in the country rather than to
wholeheartedly marshal state resources to follow
the case involving KKD. The lady in question has
shown no interest to continue with the case but
the A-G is still interested to follow the case to
the latter.

"Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has ruled for us to
retrieve all our monies from Woyome and
Waterville, Isofoton and SUBA and the
Attorney-General is doing nothing about,” he
said on Oman Fm.
