Starbow Airline not grounded - GCAA The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority has denied
media reports that it grounded Starbow fleet
following the emergency landing of one of its
airliners, Tuesday.
A Takoradi bound flight of Starbow made an
emergency landing after developing a mechanical
fault mid-air.
Two passengers were reportedly injured in the
incident.
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Joyce Bawa
Mogtari, disclosed to Starr News Wednesday that
some aircrafts of the company have been grounded
until further notice.
However, addressing the media on Thursday, Deputy
Director-General of the GCAA, Martey Boye Atoklo,
said the reports are false.
According to him, Starbow has an approved air
worthiness certificate which has not expired.
He said the company is at liberty to enter into an
arrangement with any other domestic airline
company which will allow them to share aircrafts.
He added that the safety of air passengers in the
country is their priority and will therefore do
everything to safeguard the interest of Ghanaians. Source - Starrfmonline
