Bawumia: NPP will give Ghanaians reliable water, power
The vice presidential candidate of the New
Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has
said the main opposition party is battle ready to
win the 2016 elections hence Ghanaians must jump
on board “the winning train”.

He said the John Mahama-led administration has
woefully failed Ghanaians and thus giving the
National Democratic Congress (NDC) another
four-year term will spell doom for Ghana.

Ghana is currently facing an erratic power supply
and unreliable load shedding timetable.

Dr. Bawumia, who was officially outdoored Thursday
to partner Nana Akufo-Addo to wrest power from
President Mahama, said the NPP will resolve the
power issue as well as deal with the alarming rate
of corruption in society and improve the living
conditions of suffering Ghanaians.

The former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana,
who was described by Nana Addo as a “consummate
politician,” in a “Thank You” message called
on all Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the
NPP in the next elections.

“I call on all Ghanaians to come on board this
train and let us build a nation we can all be
proud of – a Ghana where we are all certain that
our taxes and resources will eventually find their
way back to us in the form of reliable water,
electricity and sanitation, quality and affordable
education and healthcare, jobs etc and not find
their way into the pockets of those managing the
resources,” the economist-cum-politician said.

He expressed his gratitude to Nana Addo and the
leadership of the NPP for the confidence reposed
in him.
