CIMG Awards Individuals And Organisations
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG)
has awarded various entities and individuals for
their sterling marketing and management
performance at the just ended 25th marketing
awards ceremony held in Accra last night.

The Awards are meant to promote and encourage best
marketing practices that enable entities to
achieve their objectives to help towards
nation-building.

The event was on the theme: “25 years of
promoting corporate excellence: the impact of CIMG
performance awards.”

Dr Shola Safo-Duodu, National Present of CIMG,
said as a professional association, CIMG has been
working effectively to ensure that their
activities have positive effect on corporate Ghana
and enhance the socio-economic lives of the
citizenry.

She said in order to make their profession
relevant to both practitioners and the country,
the institute was developing a professional
examination that took cognisance of the marketing
challenges in Africa, especially Ghana.

In the personality Awards category, the recipients
were: Marketing man of the year – 2013 –
Edward Effah, MD/CEO, Fidelity Bank and Marketing
woman of the year - 2013 – Mrs Kate Quartey
Papafio, CEO, Reroy Cables, Marketing Practitioner
of the Year – Mawuko Afadzinu of Stanbic Bank
and Marketing Student of the year - 2013 –
Koffi Allaglo, Nielsen SNR
