Alan, Nimoh Congratulate Akufo-Addo
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and Francis Addai Nimoh
have congratulated Nana Addo Akufo for winning the
primaries to lead the New Patriotic Party in the
2016 Election.

They extended the message of congratulations
moments after the Electoral Commission declared
Nana Addo winner at the Efua Sutherland Park in
Accra.

Francis Addai Nimoh is his address said the night
was a great day in the history of our party as it
marked another huge day.

He said the process they had gone through for the
selection of the flagnearer to lead the party.

He said the party believed in healthy competition
and had tolerance for divergent views as well as
respects and believes in the application of rule
of law.

“And therefore in accordance with our party the
process which began on June 6 has come to and end
with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo as the flagbearer.”

“I am happy that the signal has been sent to
Ghanaians that this party respects our own
constitution and therefore invite Ghanaians to
give us power come December 2016 and we shall
uphold the constitution for the betterment of this
nation of ours”

While conceding, Mr Nimoh congratulated Nana Akufo
Addo for winning the “healthy” elections.

He also commended Alan Kyerematen and said the
effort they put in the competition has energised
the grassroots of the party and said he believed
they were poised for victory in 2016.

“I urge all of you that we need to be united
more than ever before. And I believe that 2016 is
our time…I’m grateful to all of you who
supported me.”

It has been refreshing and intriguing to him
travelling across the country and was humbled by
the support and appreciation.

“Come December 2016, power shall be for the New
Patriotic Party.

Alan Kyerematen on his part said the struggle to
take over power from the NDC in 2016 had just
started.

He congratulated Nana Akufo whom he described as
elder brother and friend.

He pledged support for Nana Addo and added, “in
our party we believe in competition and afterwards
cooperation.”

He said contests in the NPP can be likened to the
competitive matches between the football clubs
Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Regardless of the scoreline, there was always
something to cheer about for the fans.

“I want all of us to stand solidly behind Nana
Akufo-Addo so that in 2016 NPP can come back to
power”.
