Alan K likens contest between himself and Nana Addo to Hearts/Kotoko Matches John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, who suffered another
crushing defeat at the hands of Nana Akufo-Addo in
his bid to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in
the 2016 General Elections, says any competitive
meeting the two can be equated to an El-clasico in
Ghanaian terms.
According to him, contests in the NPP between
himself and Nana Addo, can be likened to the
competitive matches between Accra Hearts of Oak
and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Making light of his defeat as he delivered his
concession address, Alan Cash, as he is
affectionately called, in a rather cheerful mood
said like matches between the two arch-rivals,
irrespective of the scoreline, there was always
something to cheer about by the fans.
He however quickly added he was unsure which of
them represents the Porcupine Warriors or the
Phobians.
In an open show of support and endorsement of Nana
Addo's candidature, Mr Kyeremanten pledged to
"stand solidly behind Nana Akufo-Addo so that in
2016 NPP can come back to power”.
"As you know, contests between Nana Akufo-Addo and
Alan Kyeremanten can be likened to the competitive
matches between Hearts and Kotoko. But i'm not
sure who represents Kotoko and who represents
Hearts. But you know, regardless of the scoreline
between Kotoko and Hearts, we always make sure we
give our fans a lot to cheer about....so i would
like all of us to stand solidly behind Nana Addo
Dankwa to ensure that in 2016, NPP comes back to
power," he stated. Source - Peacefmonline
