'I Have Been Recalled Not Sacked'
The immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the
Youth Enterprise Support (YES) Fund, Kojo Adu
Asare, has described as 'erroneous' claims that he
has been sacked.

He said he had only been recalled to the Flagstaff
House as a presidential staffer in-charge of Youth
Enterprise Development (YED), a subsidiary of the
YES Fund.

Adu Asare, who was speaking on Asempa FM's 'Ekosii
Sen' programme Monday, explained that the previous
position he held as CEO of the YES Fund was only a
task given him by President Mahama to help with
the setting up of the Fund.

The Fund is aimed at providing support for young
entrepreneurs in the country.

'My work began on 6 January, 2014 and not 12
August as it is being reported. The media should
have contacted me before breaking the news,' he
challenged, implying that he had been the YES boss
for more than two months, contrary to media
reports.

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Adentan
said, 'It has been a privilege to serve at YES for
the past nine months; and I'm happy it has
achieved this feat under my leadership.”

Adu Asare refuted assertions that his removal was
due to his appearance before the Justice Dzamefe
Commission, set up by President John Mahama to
investigate Ghana's poor showing at the 2014 World
Cup tournament in Brazil.

'No one has indicted me for any wrongdoing so I
don't know why people are still making reference
to that. I'm a strong person inside and outside,'
he underscored.
