Election 2012: I was forced to take a back stage in Akufo-Addo's campaign; Alan reveals
Mr. Alan Kyerematen has dismissed allegations
leveled against him by political opponents that he
did not help the party in the 2012 general
elections.

In addressing some delegates of the NPP on his
Greater-Accra campaign tour, he noted that it is
pure propaganda against his person and also a
deliberate orchestration to cause disaffection
against him in the eyes of the party people.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen recounted on many instances
where he had to travel into the country at his own
expense to help the 2012 campaign.

He stressed that he travelled extensively with
Nana Akufo Addo across the country especially in
the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo
regions. However, he was neither acknowledged at
the various constituencies they visited nor was he
made to speak on the campaign platforms.

He further stated that he was able to mobilize
some businessmen to make huge financial and
logistical donations to the party in the 2012
general elections as he has always done in the
past.

With regard to the famous election petition, he
mentioned that he had to find his own
accreditation to gain admission into the Supreme
Court in all the instances he was present
including the day the judgment was read.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen maintained that the interest
of the party must remain supreme and will
therefore continue to serve and avail himself at
all times for the progress of the party.

He called on party faithful’s not to believe the
lies being said against him and unite for victory
in 2016.
