NPP race: "Akufo-Addo is the man to beat" – Ephson Two-time flagbearer of the main opposition New
Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
“is the man to beat” at the party’s
presidential primary, Pollster Ben Ephson has
said.
The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch
Newspaper told Asempa FM’s political talk show
Ekosii sen on Thursday that he would be
“surprised” if the former Attorney General
didn’t win the slot for a third consecutive
time.
Ephson’s analysis comes on the heels of the
entry into the race, of Second Deputy Speaker Joe
Ghartey and Mampong MP, Francis Addai Nimoh.
Nana Akufo-Addo is already billed to face
competition from former flagbearer contestants
Alan Kyeremanten and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku. A few
more hopefuls are also lurking in the
peripheries.
Despite harbingers of a highly likely competitive
race, Ben Ephson says Nana Akufo-Addo will stretch
