Nana Addo questions focus of SADA’s implementation, launches e-Campaign The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic
Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo has questioned
government’s focus in implementing the Savanna
Accelerated Development Authority (SADA)
programme.
The NPP presidential candidate, who has maintained
the initiative was first proposed by his party,
said the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC)
has adopted short gap interventions that do not
propel the development of the three regions in the
north as initially intended.
He was responding to questions when he launched
his internet based campaign, dubbed e-Campaign, in
Accra Sunday.
“To some extent we [NPP] have been disappointed in
the manner in which it [SADA] is operated because
that all embracing strategy of development that we
had in mind when we proposed the Northern
Development Authority, we haven’t seen it in the
operations of SADA…
“If by the grace of God we get the opportunity, we
will go back to the original conception of
[SADA]…”
The NPP flagbearer was hopeful his internet based
campaign will enable him to sell his vision and
better understand the needs of young people.
