Nana Shakes Agona Swedru Thousands OF New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters
in the Central region on Sunday trooped to the
Agona Swedru Roman Catholic School Park to join
the party's flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo to launch
their 2012 campaign.
Participants included NPP First National Vice
Chairman, Fred Oware, former Finance Minister, Yaw
Osafo Maafo, National Campaign Manager, Boakye
Agyarko, former Central Regional Minister, Isaac
Edumadze, NPP regional and constituency executives
as well as former municipal and metropolitan
district chief executives.
Launching the campaign, Nana Addo expressed
concern about the high rate of unemployment in the
country and promised to develop the private sector
when voted into office.
'I will develop a new industrial economy to reduce
unemployment, I will never lie to you and will
ensure that all my promises will be fulfilled if
God permits me to win the election,' he stated.
The flag bearer noted that Ghana had a lot of
money and natural resources and did not see why
the country should be in hardship.
He also promised to revive the National Health
Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to boost the health
sector.
Nana noted that God never created Ghanaians to be
impoverished but the country was currently in need
due to lack of good leaders to propel it to the
next level.
Mr. Agyarko when he took his turn said this year's
election will determine the future of this country
hence the need for Ghanaians to vote for Nana Addo
who can take them to the promise land.
He said God wanted to bless the country but will
only do so when a good person is given the mandate
to rule.
He disclosed that God had taken the kingdom away
from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and
would surely give it to someone better than them.
The campaign manager stressed the need for
Ghanaians to vote for Nana Addo who will ensure
peace, reduce unemployment and fight for their
rights.
'God has exposed the NDC and NPP will capture
power in the upcoming election,' he said.
Mr. Osafo Maafo underscored the need for Ghanaians
not to vote for the NDC since President John
Mahama was the Chairman of the Economic Management
Team and never implemented any policy to stop the
depreciation of the cedi.
Former NPP Regional Organizer, Alhaji Gibrine
disputed the notion that President Mahama loved
Muslims saying he was even shy to be called a
Muslim.
Earlier, Nana Addo introduced all the
parliamentary candidates in the region to the
crowd. Source - Daily Guide
