Little Andrew in a pose with former President Rawlings

11 year old Ghana boy, Andrew Andansi Bonnah to sign Mills’ book of condolence
11 year old Andrew Adansi Bonnah, initiator of the
Save Somali Children From Hunger Project that
dominated the world, will on Wednesday sign the
book of condolence at the State House in Accra, in
honour of the late former president John Evans
Atta Mills.

He will also visit the Castle to express his
heartfelt condolence to President Mahama on behalf
of Ghanaian children.
In addition, Andrew will make a stop-over visit at
the residence of the former First Lady, Dr.
Ernestina Mills to wish her well in this difficult
time.

According to Andrew Adansi Bonnah “my visit is to
pay respect on my own; and on behalf of all
Ghanaian children as a sign of our love for our
late President”.

Andrew has also stated that he will light candles
to signify ‘the path’ of the late President took
in life while he was alive.

He believes that late President Mills’ soul will
rest in perfect peace since Ghanaian children will
forever miss him citing that late President Mills
was humble, knowledgeable, intelligent, patient,
loving; and, above all, God-fearing. “I wish I had
all these qualities; I wish all children had these
qualities” he stated.

Young Ambassador Andrew who is currently embarking
on a national exercise to raise 100,000 pints of
blood nationwide for the blood banks in our
regional and district hospitals, has called the
exercise off and hoping to resume activities soon
after the burial.

Andrew had written to the late President through
the Ministry of Defense asking for an aircraft to
airlift him to some of the blood donation centres
in other parts of the country for him to monitor
activities.

“All was set for me to meet the President within
that week only to hear on that day (Tuesday, 24th
July, 2012) that the President had passed on to
the other world” he remarked.

“Now, it looks like everything has been turned
upside down” Andrew stated.

However, the nationwide blood donation exercise
shall begin after the burial of the late President
in the the first two Saturdays of the months of
September, October and November, 2012, across the
country after the launch of the project at the
Alisa Hotel in the 3rd week of August.
