CPP, PNC merger talks still on - Akomfrah
The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has confirmed
that merger with the People’s National Convention
(PNC) is still on track.

According to the director of communications of
the CPP, Nii Armah Akomfrah, media reports that
the merger talks between the two parties have hit
a snag are not true.

Although he could not say for certain that the
merger will be completed before the December
polls, Mr. Akonfrah told XYZ News that negotiating
teams of the two parties are committed to the
unity talk process.

“There has been some concern by one or two people
within the PNC but either than that the course
that has been started by the two parties has been
ongoing.

“We set up two teams and they have been meeting,
they have gotten to a point where they have a
report for their leadership to decide the next
step forward.

“It is a process that the two parties have
committed themselves to and they are embarking on
it”.
