PNC divided over Jake bungalow saga
The leadership of the People’s National Convention
(PNC) is divided on the Supreme Court ruling over
the acquisition of a State bungalow by the New
Patriotic Party’s National Chairman, Jake
Obetsebi-Lamptey.

The PNC at a news conference on Wednesday promised
to assist the two Deputy Ministers, Samuel
Okudzeto Ablakwah of the Information Ministry and
Dr. Omane-Boamah of the Sports Ministry, who took
the matter to court to seek a review of the
majority decision of the Supreme Court.

Speaking to Citi News, the National Youth
Organiser of the PNC, Abu Ramadan, described as
“needless” the General Secretary’s position on the
matter.

“The crux of the matter are the General Secretary
has spoken and alluded to the fact that the party
is not happy about it, but that is a section of
the party and not the entire party’s decision;
that I believe is the view of the General
Secretary,” Ramadan said.

He advised, “the party should rather concentrate
and discuss issues on what is happening up North
currently with the conflict and how best we can
come together and contribute towards the
resolution and having peace in the three Northern
regions, than worrying our heads about issues that
have to do with the camp of our colleague
opposition party.

“That is the position of the General Secretary
[Bernard Monah] and I don’t share in it.”
