Akufo-Addo is a strong leader but I cannot vouch for him - Sekou
Dr. Sekou Nkrumah seems to have begun his campaign
for the New Patriotic Party to wrestle power from
the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC)
stating that Ghana needs a more dynamic leader to
take control of its affairs.

Speaking on Joy FM, Tuesday, Dr. Nkrumah
described Nana Akufo-Addo as a nice, strong and
confident leader but however stated that he cannot
vouch for the NPP leader’s competence unless
Ghanaians give him the opportunity to prove
himself.

He said Ghanaians must judge for themselves how
well the Mills administration has performed and
decide during the upcoming December elections.

Dr. Nkrumah added that President Mills has
demonstrated beyond doubt that he cannot deliver
and the only alternative is the NPP hence his
decision to join them.

Dr. Nkrumah officially joined the NPP last week
after he quit the NDC last year. His decision to
resign from the NDC came weeks after he had been
dismissed as the head of the National Youth
Council.

Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first President Dr.
Kwame Nkrumah who has been an ardent critic of the
Mills administration also stated that President
Mills is being manipulated by some people behind
the scenes.

According to him, the bitter relationship between
President Mills and the Rawlingses is being fueled
by some strong personalities within the Mills
administration who he failed to reveal.

“He is still not his own man, it is likely that
he is still being manipulated by some people
behind and that is why I am saying if you don’t
have a strong personality that is what happens”
Dr. Nkrumah said.

He added “you need to be strong to be in a
leadership position”.

Sekou is irrational and his mentality is doubtful.
