Multi TV launches Habitat Fair 2012
The third edition of the Multi TV Habitat Fair
dubbed “Habitat Fair 2012, providing pragmatic
housing solutions” has been launched.

The Fair which is scheduled to come off from
Friday June 22 to Sunday June 24, 2012 at the
Accra International Conference Center, will seek
to provide patrons with solutions to their housing
needs.

According to McBen Adu-Asamoah, Sales & Marketing
Manager of Multi TV, the fair will bring together
home owners, prospective home owners, firms and
professionals in the housing and construction
sectors.

Speaking on the Corporate Wednesday edition of the
current affairs programme, pm:Express on the Joy
News channel on Multi TV, the professionals and
exhibitors, he noted, will include Home &
Construction Financing Companies, Land & Real
Estate developers, Hardware suppliers, Home
Decorations & Furnishing Companies, Landscaping,
Electrical Goods and Home Appliance retailers.
Highlights of the fair will be the Habitat Fair
seminar which will feature speakers to discuss and
answer questions on Land Acquisition,
Architecture, Home & Construction Financing and
Protection with special focus on security and
insurance for houses. Other pertinent issues
bothering on Home Maintenance and Utility
Management will also be discussed.

He explained that the 2012 edition is designed
with a wider scope to provide more comprehensive
solutions to meet the numerous challenges on the
housing, construction, home décor and maintenance
needs.

The Sales and Marketing Manager noted that even
though the previous editions have created numerous
opportunities for the stakeholders in the housing
industry, Habitat Fair 2012 is expected to create
even greater opportunities for prospective home
owners within middle to lower income bracket to
acquire homes and also for existing homeowners to
find affordable resources to maintain their
properties.

Mr. Adu-Asamoah noted that, it is the aim of Multi
TV to enrich the lives of our audience and share
the good things in business with our partners and
advertisers through providing such platforms for
interactivity between advertisers and consumers.

The Head of Mortgage at HFC Bank, Mrs. Emily
Clegg-Lamptey, said they are happy to partner
Multi TV to present the Habitat Fair 2012 because
the two organizations share common values and
objectives in providing pragmatic housing
solutions to improve the lives of Ghanaians and
also help the average worker to create wealth
through home acquisition.

She once again stressed the need to demystify “the
whole thing about mortgages to say that properties
you own is an asset, you can use it as an
investment vehicle [because] through that property
you can create wealth. So instead of renting for
10 years you can use that monthly rent to pay a
loan every month.”

The Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at
Devtraco Limited, Anthony Safo who was a guest on
the program said housing was no longer a “social
item” as people have perceived it over the years.
According to him, housing is one of the best
“investment vehicle or an asset you can use to
create wealth for yourself”. He said the value of
houses improve over time thereby increasing the
equity on investments in real estate. Mr. Safo
also mentioned that, Devtraco limited is very
proud to associate with the Habitat Fair 2012 as a
sponsor; he said their participation in the
previous editions yielded tremendous results.

The 2012 Habitat Fair is in partnership with HFC
Bank and sponsored by Noble Realty, Devtraco
Limited, Duraplast, Clean Power and powered by
Multi TV, Joy 99.7FM and multitvworld.com.
