Nyantakyi enskinned Bolli Naa by Dakpema
On Tuesday GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi was
honoured with a traditional title Bolli Naa 'Chief
of Soccer in Ghana' following his enskinment as a
Chief in Tamale, the northern capital.

The king of Tamale, Dakpema Naa Alhassan Dawuni
enskinned Nyantakyi for his immense contribution
to the development and growth of the game in the
country.

The ceremony was held when the Black Stars paid a
courtesy visit to his palace in Sabin Gida in
central Tamale.

"Since Nyantakyi took over Ghana football has seen
massive improvement. We have been to three World
Cups under his reign and won the U20 World Cup
under his reign," the Dakpena Naa told hundreds of
people from the community who had gathered at the
palace to see the Black Stars.

"Apart from this we have seen several improvements
in many, many areas in our game and it is
necessary for us to tap into his knowledge,
experience and leadership to continue to develop
football in Ghana.

"Today I am enskinning him as the Bolli Naa of
Ghana which means we want him to do more to
develop the game and improve the game in the
country," Dakpema Naa said as players, officials
and the fans who has thronged the palace cheered
as Nyantakyi was dressed in the traditional attire
and handed the the magic stick to signify his
ascension to the throne.

Nyantakyi took the traditional dance to signify
his acceptance of his new traditional role as a
sub-chief in charge of football development and
promised that in his new position as the Bolli Naa
he will continue to take Ghana to higher heights.

He thanked the King of Tamale for the warm welcome
the Black Stars have received since arriving in
the city on Monday ahead of their 2015 Africa Cup
of Nations qualifier against Guinea on Wednesday.

The Black Stars were on a visit to the King's
palace to announce their presence in the land to
